The Powerline Program was developed by Myra and Darwin Frye, who are learning specialists with extensive training in remedial reading and learning disabilities. We created the program in 1972 after conducting years of research and development at our reading perception center in Long Beach, California. By 1976, schools throughout the United States had adopted the Powerline Program to assist students with their reading and writing difficulties.
Today, our program is helping students in schools nationwide to improve reading comprehension and accuracy. By doing so, it also helps in reducing frustration and stress that accompany reading difficulties and increasing the student's opportunities for success.
