About Us: The Powerline Reading Program was developed by Myra and Darwin Frye, learning specialists with extensive training in remedial reading and learning disabilities. They created Powerline Program in 1972 after conducting years of research and development at their reading perception center in Long Beach, California. By 1976, schools throughout the United States had adopted the Powerline Program to assist students with their reading and writing difficulties. Today, Powerline is helping students in school nationwide to improve their reading comprehension and accuracy, reducing frustration and stress that accompany reading difficulties, and increasing the students opportunities for success.
